Cheyne walk: shared space signs up

After years of confusion, signs have finally gone up on Cheyne Walk making it clear that the stretch of pavement between Battersea Bridge and Lots Road is a SHARED space for cyclists and pedestrians.

TFL put up these signs after lobbying from C.A.S.T (Chelsea Alliance for Safer Traffic), a noble group of residents who work hard steering TFL and RBKC towards better road safety and traffic management. No easy task, putting it mildly. Maybe now there will be less pavement rage and shouts of, ‘Get on the bloody road!” High-five to C.A.S.T.
